Absolutely love the Nat Geo TOPO Series – really beats going to an Old School Map Store and buying a two or three hundred quadrangle maps. You can really plan out your trips with this software in 2d as well as 3D, complete with way points to load to your GPS and elevation profiles of your planned adventure. TOPO!
