June 18, 2015Does NOT fit the new Magellan L-mounted 5″ GPSs,
The 5175 has a rather dicey power connector anyway (it tends to wiggle inside) so I feared it would damage the power plug or GPS irrevocably if I tried to use this. I wish Magellan had not changed their mounting plug to begin with (our older 4.3″ plugged straight in without a bend), but there’s no point in tossing it out just because I don’t like the style of their connector.
But it does make this i.Trek mount unusable for me and other Magellan 5″ users. Not worth returning, I’ll toss it in the charity pile.
