September 10, 2015improvement on the basic anti skid pad.,
This is made out of the same material but is a much thicker pad, the side ridges help additionally against turning force flinging items, though I have never had a problem with that with anything other than sunglasses on the flat pads. The main purpose for getting this set is the phone stand availability, and for that purpose this anti skid pad works perfectly. The anti skid pad does have enough contact along the bottom ridge of the phone and the two sides that it will not get sent flying during a wild turn.
I live in Oregon, and though we have had hotter summers lately than usual they are no where near as hot as some and we get cloud coverage to break it up… so keep in mind that a common complaint is them melting and don’t leave them in excessive sunlight for prolonged periods.
