This 7-inch widescreen fish finder/chart plotter combines CHIRP Sonar with Down Scan Imaging and Insight basemap cartography. CHIRP sonar makes targets easier to identify and allows you to distinguish bait from game fish. It gives better target definition at greater depths and marks fish clearly at greater boat speeds. You can also view multiple CHIRP sonar settings on one display. Down Scan Imaging provides picture-like images of fish-holding structure beneath a boat. Make sure you get the correct transducer for all of the options that you want. I had to buy a separate transducer that does 83/220+455/800 to take advantage of the full downscan capability.
