The product isn’t perfect, though. The thing that tightens the clamp onto the ball thinger has a plastic nut and plastic threads. Mine doesn’t tighten down very well because when I try to tighten it the threads just give out.

Forte past several months the ice been dealing with this produce not tightening down at all – it held the phone in the jaws ok, but the nut holding the jaws to the holder is no longer working. So I have been using Google it but the bottom phone has to rest on my dashboard. Not ideal. Also the other day the clamp gave out – a bit of plastic that holds the spring in snapped so this thing is now officially ruined and I am replacing it with a different product. I have downgraded my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars – I’d give it fewer if the product hadn’t been so inexpensive! The one I just purchased to replace it is more than twice the price, but seems to be sturdier.
