November 29, 2016Not ready for prime time,
I replaced the watch and went through an identical experience, so I know this was not due to a defective unit. I am sending the second one back and will wait until they come up with a more stable system. So much for being an early adopter!

November 29, 2016Please do not buy this watch if you plan to use if for Sailboat Racing,
I also like to export my race data in GPX format so I can replay the race on my computer. I have software that analyzes the race data. Unfortunately when you export GPS data from Garmin Connect the format of the data is wrong. The position data is OK but the time data is formatted incorrectly. I was able to determine how to fix the time formatting and I can edit the GPX file and fix it. But why is it wrong in the first place?
All in all the watch seems to be great for many things. Just not sailboat racing
