Garmin marine secures numerous industry awards in 2025

From Manufacturer of the Year to national boating safety accolades, the Garmin marine team garnered top honors in multiple industry awards programs in 2025.

The recognitions capped off a busy year of purpose-built marine product introductions designed to help boaters and anglers make the most of their time on the water.

National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA®)

Garmin won the NMEA Manufacturer of the Year in the large manufacturer category for the 11th year in a row. The honor is awarded to the most recognized company in the industry for product support and support in the field.

Garmin also secured eight out of 21 Product of Excellence awards, making it the most decorated manufacturer at the conference and awards banquet. This year’s Product of Excellence awards included:

Soundings Trade Only

For the third year in a row, Garmin won the Most Innovative Marine Company award at the 2025 EPIC Awards by Soundings Trade Only, a leading trade publication in the marine space. Soundings Trade Only and AIM Media Group editors, writers, publishers and industry experts recognize companies that are transforming the marine industry through Exceptional, Purposeful, Innovative and Compassion (EPIC) technology and initiatives.

Garmin also secured an honor in the Work Culture category, a recognition that’s a testament to the promotion of associate well-being and development of a positive work environment.

In addition to being the top company for the third year in a row, this is Garmin’s eighth consecutive year to be recoginized as a Top 5 company in this awards program.

Garmin secured top honors in the Gear, Equipment and Accessories Manufacturer category and was recognized for being a leading force in educating the public about safe boating practices during National Safe Boating Week through blog posts, presentations, email campaigns and social media outreach.

DAME Design Awards

Garmin was recognized in the Safety and Security Aboard category for the newly launched Garmin OnBoard™ System at this year’s DAME Design Awards held at Metstrade 2025, a leading global trade show for the leisure marine industry.  A jury made up of marine industry experts with various naval and boating design and market experience judged nominated products on quality, design, function and market value.
