April 16, 2011You won’t like it.,
First, this device seems like it is dumbed down. The software is cumbersome and not very intuitive. When I tried to download maps I made 3 unsuccessful attempts and finally gave up. (I had bought some extra map credits which also disappeared, but I didn’t get the maps.)
The base map is lacking detail. you cannot use this map to navigate streets, because the streets aren’t all there.
Takes up to 5 minutes to start tracking.
The dataport cover is junk and won’t stay in the hole, so this thing is NOT water proof either.
I don’t know what is wrong with some companies, but they really need to beta test this stuff on volunteers instead of paying customers. I’m sending this junk back.
As for Bushnell, stick to what your good at-Optics.
