May 25, 2017will not work with TomTom VIA with out modifacation,
The mount ball is made of a soft plastic hard rubber when I tried to insert into Tom Tom socket the socket cut into ball. The ball is 16.2 MM the socket is 16 MM I had to sand the dimension of ball down with sandpaper and use a small amount of dish soap for lube to get ball into socket.
Reading some of the reviews I can see how you could damage a GPS trying to install ball, I placed GPS on rubber drawer liner face down and still worried about damaging unit.
Once the ball adapter n was installed on GPS it would not slide down all the way onto the base unit completely. It took me 30 minutes with a file working on backside of ball adapter to get it to slide down to locking position but still be able to slide off base.
The suction cup, tilt and rotate work great but the base will not rotate so you need to get angle setup before sticking down. It really sticks down well donât think you would want to remove very often plus the sticky suction cup will pick up dirt an probably not work very well.
