I found the stock configuration didn’t work well, it was just too long for the windshield location I needed.
There is a arm section that attaches the “claw” to the suction cup base. I found you can pretty easily remove this and attache the claw directly the the base. This was ideal for my car. Beneath the rubber pads that say “press” there is a screw that holds the joints together. Remove them and pull the shafts out. Reassemble it into a shorter version by leaving the arm out.
I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because there is a little bit of shake in the adjustable joints. Much less if you do the mod to it. But overall, I’m pretty satisfied with it.
