Update 9 June: The zipper got derailed and the foam inserts crumpled up and shrunk in the sun. I think leaving the empty case out in the sun and weather is too much for this thing long term. So, you might want to remove the case when you are not using it. Just unscrew the retaining nut on the ball mount and pop it off. Probably should store it indoors instead of leaving it exposed to the elements. Again, it’s cheap for a reason, and the removal/re-installation is not that big of a deal. Once the foam and zipper go, though, you’ve got a piece of garbage.

Out of all the cons , would be the glare in the sun , but you have that on the gps its self. It is manageable.
It works for me and at a low cost.
You can put your Samsung 5 in there also and still able to use the touch screen feature.
