   I bought one of these little mounts two years ago because the suction mount was too bulky and the dash mount was in my line of sight. The first thing I liked about this mount is it is so small and needs little space to mount. I cleaned off an area on the dash below the 4-wheel drive controls of my H2 with denatured alcohol and let it dry. I am pleased to say the double sided tape that comes on this mount has held up under all conditions. The mount itself adjusts to various angles and has never slipped out of position. It works EXACTLY like a person would hope for. I like it so much I bought another on Amazon for a new pickup. Go ahead and buy this little mount with confidence. Just be sure to clean the area well before sticking the mount in place.

   Good mount; adhesive can come loose, June 3, 2011

   I’ve used the Garmin suction mount and the beanbag mount. I’ve stayed away from adhesive mounts because of the inability to move such mounts and whether the adhesive would last over time. I finally decided to try this mount after the dashboard/winndshield configuration of my new car made the other mounts suboptimal.

   You simply peel the adhesive and stick the mount where you want. The adhesive is VERY strong; I barely touched a corner of the car console and the mount quickly became stuck. I had to be satisfied with a slightly crooked mounting because I was unable to adjust it for fear of messing up the adhesive.

   Big advantage of this mount is that you can mount your Garmin closer to you and at a closer eye level then the other mounts. The Garmin is rock-solid and doesn’t budge at all during regular use. There is a tension nut that lets you lock the stand in place. Time will tell if this adhesive will hold over time.

   Edit: The mount became partially unglued today after two months of use. Living in the Southeast the summers get very hot, and the temps have been in the low-mid 90’s most of the summer. My car was giving a temp reading of 108 when I started it up and noticed the mount had come loose. I was able to push the mount back into position and it’s enough to hold the mount, though one day I may find it completely unglued.

   Edit 2: Mount became completely unglued. I tried replacing the adhesive with 3M adhesive made for car trim. The adhesive was significantly weaker and could not withstand a hot summer day. Mount is useless now. Decided to try a vent mount rather than get another one. It’s too bad because the adhesive allows alot more flexibility on where to mount your GPS.
