January 21, 2015Real nice resolution however…,
The Basemap model will not work period with gps. It needs additional software, i.e., lakemaps etc. or you will NOT see any detail. This is not clear when ordering and I had to return and re-order. ALSO for those using in the Great Lakes, Lk St Clair area etc. Garmin left off gps info because of memory deficiency. I’ve talked to their staff 3x now over 2 months and they can’t seem to send me the update – so beware. My advise, buy this at your local marine electronics dealer to get it right the first time.
