My Samsung Galaxy SIII (AT&T), sometimes slips out of the holder. This is because I put my SIII, with its protective case, into the holder of the GPS mount.
Recently, I have figured a way to tightly secure my SIII with its protective mount. You just press the sides of the holder hard, until you hear this sort of clicking sound, locks it secure.
Also, put the GPS Pro-mount on the part of your car’s windshield where you can easily reach your phone, or read from your phone’s screen, during traffic stoppages and stop lights.
Easy to take off also, just use the latch. Would recommend taking it off your car’s windshield when you go to unknown places, so your car doesn’t get broken into, since thieves might mistake that your smartphone is in your car.
Overall, a good product. Best car mount I have used for my smartphone !
I have not used for a GPS, so I do not know how good it is for that.
Google Maps is a great GPS with live time updates, its free, just need a data plan for your phone.

January 21, 2014Very best, robust, safe universal GPS holder,
It is easy to attach to the windshield with its suction cup which has a mechanism to increase the suction until it is unmovable (so spit needed).
Inserting the GPS can be done with one hand.
The GPS can be moved in any direction, up/down, left/right.
Its robustness means it will last a long time and not come off easily nor break.
This is my second time I bought this type of mount for my second generation GPS. The previous one lasted for many years.
Another advantage I found with this mount is that it can be easily removed, so I can use it for a different car, like when I travel and get a rental.
