New Samsung GPS Restore App Test and Comparison
Samsung released a new guide today to try and help AT&T Captivate and T-Mobile Vibrant owners with their GPS accuracy problems. In this test we used an AT&T Captivate running Froyo, a Sprint Epic 4G running 2.1, and Verizon’s newest Galaxy S device the Continuum running eclair. We tested the GPS on all three devices with the “GPS Test” app, then installed the new Samsung GPS Restore application, ran it, and tested the GPS again afterwards. You can find the full article at www.careace.net and let us know if you’d like to see it tested in another way or have any questions in the comments. **You can also see Gil’s test of his GPS on the Samsung Vibrant from T-Mobile here www.youtube.com **We finally were able to post our follow-up to this video which you can find here: www.youtube.com

Thats amazing, The Continuum has pretty good GPS performance.
you didnt actually restart the apps on the epic and the continuum you pressed the home button when really you should of pressed the back button which completely closes the application
@reyese2423 Thanks for catching that. I’ll add a note to the video explaining that mistake.
The GPS is clearly faulty on the Captivate and Vibrant, just look at the Continuum, the GPS works fine.
@reyese2423 and giving you credit of course
Hot start..
I did this app on my vibrant and did not notice difference, but after watching you video I saw that i needed to click open on the app to complete install. Now my GPS works great. Had one of the fixes on my rooted vibrant, but with this fix my GPS is faster and more accurate. Samsung did great job on this app fix
i submitted a video response, can you please accept it?
